PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the direction of signals, a collision by the simultaneous output of the signals of both devices, and a state without output of both devices, etc., between the devices using bidirectional signals. SOLUTION: In the operation of detecting the direction of the bidirectional signals between the device 1A and the device 1B, the point A of an analog switch 11 is connected to a point D, and a point B is connected to a point C. From the presence/absence of the fall of the output signals Vout1 and Vout2 of level detection circuits 12-1 and 12-2 and the combination of the levels of input signals Vin1 and Vin2 and the output signals Vout1 and Vout2, a control circuit 13 outputs the decoded result of one of the direction of the bidirectional signals when the ports PA and PB of the devices 1A and 1B are both driven, the state wherein the ports PA and PB of the devices 1A and 1B are both not driven, a signal collision by the simultaneous output of the signals of the devices 1A and 1B, and the state wherein the devices 1A and 1B are not normally operated.
