PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece which efficiently irradiates a light emitting part of a pointer with luminous material with light. SOLUTION: The timepiece includes a dial 100, pointers 210, 220 placed on the front of the dial, and a movement 300 for rotating the pointers. The pointers include light emitting parts 211, 221 provided with luminous material. A plurality of light emitting means 500, which irradiate the light emitting parts with light for exciting the luminous material, are provided outside the pointers. The light emitting means are placed with predetermined intervals with the axis of rotation A of the pointers as the center.
