PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an obstacle monitoring device for vehicle capable of easily forming a desired reporting range for reporting existence of an obstacle to a driver. SOLUTION: This obstacle monitoring device for vehicle detects a relative position from a relative distance and a relative angle between an obstacle on the periphery of the vehicle 1 and the vehicle 1 through ultrasonic sensors 2, 3. The obstacle monitoring device for vehicle sets a desired reporting range wherein existence of the obstacle is reported by a reporting part 12 to the driver in a detection range in which the ultrasonic sensors 2, 3 can detect the obstacle, and reports existence of the obstacle by the reporting part 12 to the driver, when the detected relative position of the obstacle to the vehicle 1 is in the reporting range.
