<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing crystalline silicon grains, and an apparatus for manufacturing the crystalline silicon grains, which are capable of manufacturing the crystalline silicon grains continuously and at a low cost without interrupting the discharge of silicon melt from a nozzle of a crucible. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the crystalline silicon grains 8 comprises discharging silicon melt 4 in a granular form from the nozzle 1a of the crucible 1, and solidifying by cooling the discharged granular silicon melt 4 to manufacture the crystalline silicon grains 8 wherein a weight of supplying silicon raw material is controlled so that a melting rate of a melting amount of the silicon raw material supplied into the crucible 1 per unit time is not less than a discharging rate by obtaining the discharging rate from an amount of discharging the silicon melt per unit time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
