METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR BENDING METAL SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for bending which takes thin metal sheet principally as an object and responsive to an optional bending angle.

SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for bending has a projecting die 3 and a rotary recessed die 7. The projecting die 3 has a thin longitudinal-sectional shape or an acute-angle longitudinal-sectional shape on the side of the distal end. The rotary recessed die 7 is provided with an inverse V groove 4 which is recessed into an inverse V shape opposite to the surface of the metal sheet and also the rotary recessed die 7 is rotatable downward around a rotary supporting shaft 6 which is situated near the front end of the projecting die above the projecting die 3. By rotating the rotary recessed die 7 downward around the rotary supporting shaft 6 and making the distal end part of the projecting die 3 relatively enter the inverse V groove 4 of the rotary recessed die 7, the metal sheet 2 is bent.
