PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength-agile laser transmission device and transmission method. SOLUTION: This wavelength-agile laser transmitter has: a pump laser configured to output a pump beam at a first wavelength; and an optical parametric oscillator. The optical parametric oscillator has: a nonlinear optical medium configured to convert light at the first wavelength into light at a second wavelength and a third wavelength longer than the first wavelength; a first optical element configured to receive the pump beam, and to direct the pump beam into a first terminal part of the nonlinear optical medium; a second optical element disposed near a second terminal part of the nonlinear optical medium; an etalon disposed near the first optical element; and a third optical element disposed near the etalon.
