<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which enables the balanced quantitative conveyance of a liquid developer in an axial direction in a developer container without adding a new member or remarkably changing its configuration. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes: supply parts 31aY, 74Y, and 77Y which supply liquid developers to a developer supply member 32Y; a recovery part 31bY which recovers the liquid developers supplied from the supply parts 31aY, 74Y, and 77Y, and the liquid developer recovered by a developer carrier cleaning member 21Y; a conveying member 34Y which conveys the liquid developer in a first direction X in the recovery part 31bY; a developing device recovery path 72Y which recovers the liquid developer in the first direction X from the recovery part 31bY by the conveying member 34Y; a flowing part 38Y which is disposed on the developing device recovery path 72Y side and in a second direction Y orthogonal to or substantially orthogonal to a first direction and causes the liquid developers to flow from supply parts 31aY, 74Y, and 77Y. The conveying member 34Y has: a first conveying part 34aY which is disposed so as to correspond to the flowing part 38Y in the second direction Y; and a second conveying part 34bY which is smaller in an amount of liquid developer conveyance than the first conveying part 34aY.
