The invention relates to a flat mineral glass comprising a region whose surface is smooth, said region alternately comprising strips with a high refractive index and strips with a low refractive index, said strips being parallel to one another and parallel to the surface of the glass and having a depth in the glass, starting from the surface, that ranges from 1 to 1000 µm, the ratio of the length to the width of the strips being greater than 60. The invention also relates to the process for preparing this glass that comprises bringing a strip-free glass into contact with an alternation of bands of two different materials that are sources of different ions that may migrate into the glass under the effect of an electric field, and that comprises the application of an electric field. The glass advantageously equips a fanlight or wall opening equipment within the context of a daylighting application.
