PURPOSE: An asymmetric filter generating a vortex and a filter assembly using the same are provided to remove contaminants on the surface of the filter by using centrifugal force and frictional force, and to increase a contact area of the water and the air. CONSTITUTION: An asymmetric filter(10) generating a vortex is used for an air treatment filter and a water treatment filter. The asymmetric filter includes a pore, a filter hole(15), a fixing hole(16), a vortex hole(17), and a coating part. The pore is formed on the whole base part of a disk. The filter hole is formed in the center part of the disk. The filter hole includes a fluid path. The fixing hole is used for fixing the filter. The coating part coats both ends of the disk densely.
