GYPSUM WALLBOARD CORE COMPOSITION

The invention relates to the composition of a gypsum wallboard core with a view to improving the heat and acoustic insulation properties of a gypsum wallboard, increasing the fire resistance and to reducing the weight thereof. The inventive gypsum wallboard core comprises gypsum, a filler consisting of three-dimensional hollow elements, a fibre and an organic binding agent. The use of a gypsum wallboard with the core having a novel composition for building and repair makes it possible to improve the heat and acoustic insulation inside rooms, to increase the fire resistance thereof, to reduce the costs of a gypsum wallboard transportation and storage as well as the labour intensiveness of the use thereof by virtue of the reduced weight of the gypsum wallboard core.
