#CMT# #/CMT# The mechanism (8) has a cam (10) moved between locked and unlocked positions, and a spring (14) for locking/unlocking the cam, where the cam is driven by a motor shaft (20). The cam is retained by the spring and maintains a gong (12) away from its rest position, in the locked position. The cam is released by the spring, and simultaneously releases the gong, so that the gong is vibrated and produces the sound in the unlocked position. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Sound generator mechanism for a timepiece i.e. wristwatch. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The cam maintains the gong away from its rest position and suddenly releases the gong in locked and unlocked positions, respectively, thus producing high intensity sound, while reducing energy consumption.
