IMAGE COMPOSITION METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an image composition device, which obtains a composite image by compositing acomposition image having transmission information with a background image, to obtain a result having reality while reducing computational loads.

SOLUTION: This image composition device includes: a color average image generator 18 for generating a plurality of color average images B0to B3different in grainsize from a background image Go by performing blurring processing; a background blurring processor 15 for selecting a weighting coefficient corresponding to transmission information Oa of each pixel of the pixel in a composite image O and calculating a weighting sum of pixel values of the plurality of average color images B0to B3in pixels corresponding to the pixel to thereby generate a blurred background image Gb with the weighting sum defined as a pixel value; and an image composition processor 16 for compositing the composite image O with the blurred background image Gb in accordance with the transmission information Oa byαblending to obtain a composition result image M.
