<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer card provided with an opaque polyester film and exhibiting improved resistance against delamination. <P>SOLUTION: The multilayer card is composed of: (i) an opaque polyester film substrate (1) containing at least one ester-ether copolymer of 0.2-30 wt.%; (ii) an ink-receiving layer (2) on at least one surface of the above substrate; and (iii) a cover layer (4) on the surface of the ink-receiving layer and/or of the substrate. The presence of the ester-ether copolymer in the substrate reduces the tendency of the card to delaminate during use. Thus, the card is particularly suitable for use in identification, magnetic, credit, pre-paid and smart cards. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
