<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transformable imaging apparatus which can load a largely scaled lens. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This digital camera 1 is configured to photograph a still image or a moving image. This digital camera 1 is provided with: a rectangular flat disc-shaped body part 2; and a lens part 3 installed in the body part 2 so as to be rotatable by using a direction crossing the extended direction of the body part 2 as rotary axes 40A and 40B. The lens part 3 is formed like a columnar shape extended to the direction crossing the extended direction of the body part 2. The top end side of the lens part 3 is provided with a largely scaled lens 31, and the body part 2 is provided with a display part 23 for displaying an image. In this case, it is possible to selectively set a state that the extended direction of the lens part 3 is made almost parallel to the extended direction of the body part 2 and a state that the extended direction of the lens part 3 is made almost perpendicular to the extended direction of the body part 2.
