PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely correct fixed pattern noise when a moving image mode and a still image are switched. SOLUTION: The fixed pattern noise generated by an imaging device 102 is detected in addition readout mode wherein a plurality of pixels are added and read out or a non-addition readout mode wherein all the pixels area readout. Then a real-time correction pattern generation section 106 generates a correction pattern corresponding to the fixed pattern noise generated by a fixed pattern detection section 104 to correct the fixed pattern noise. Right after the addition readout mode is changed to the non-addition readout mode, a correction pattern recorded in a recording section 105 is used to correct the fixed pattern noise of a video signal.
