PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure to detect an expanding and contracting position of an output rod of a telescopic actuator. SOLUTION: Rotation of a rotation shaft 45 of a motor 31 is converted to telescopic motion of the output rod 33 by a feed screw mechanism 39, and a critical position of the telescopic motion of the output rod 33 is regulated by making a movable stopper 104 provided on the output rod 33 contact with fixing stoppers 32d, 93a provided on a housing 32. The movable stopper 104 is constituted of a permanent magnet and the expanding and contracting position of the output rod 33 is detected by making the movable stopper 104 face against a coil 105 of a stroke sensor 102 provided on the housing 32, and consequently, it is possible to reduce the number of components, cost and a setting space as the permanent magnet and a fixing member are eliminated in comparison with the case to fix the special permanent magnet on the output rod 33 by using the fixing member.
