<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly dry a recording paper sheet having an image recorded on a first surface thereof so as to record an image on a second surface thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The recording paper sheet 3 is conveyed in a first direction by a conveying section 6 and the image is recorded on the first surface 3a of the recording paper sheet 3 by a recording section 7. The recording paper sheet 3 just after the image is recorded is fed into a recording paper sheet reversing section 9 by a first switch guide 43 and conveyed like a loop so as to make the first surface 3a inside, to reverse the front and rear surfaces thereof. Hot air is blown to the first surface 3a from a drying unit 45 arranged inside a loop-like conveying path 40, to dry the recording paper sheet 3. Since the recording paper sheet 3 sent out from the recording paper sheet reversing section 9 to a paper sheet feeding path 19 is already dried, the image can be immediately recorded on the second surface 3b, while conveying the recording paper sheet 3 in a second direction.
