摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forging press where a press structure is miniaturized by devising a shut height regulation mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: As a shut height regulation apparatus, a wrist pin-driving apparatus 6 rotating a wrist pin 3 and a rotation prevention mechanism preventing the rotation of the wrist pin 3 are provided. In the rotation prevention mechanism, (P×e≤P×μ×D/2) is set in such a manner that the torque preventing the rotation of the wrist pin 3 by friction between the outer circumferential face of the slide connection part 3a in the wrist pin 3 and the contact surface 4a of the slide 4 is made higher than the torque causing the rotation of the wrist pin 3 by a press load (wherein, P is a load; e is an eccentricity; D is the outer diameter of the wrist pin; and μ is the friction coefficient of the wrist pin). Since the unrequired rotation of the wrist pin 3 upon a press load can be prevented by the friction of the wrist pin 3, there is no need of providing a mechanism of preventing the rotation of the wrist pin 3.
