PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance reliability of a radio communication by letting a receiver normally and intermittently receive a sensor detection signal transmitted from a transmitter by a radio communication without influence of electromagnetic waves occurring under a surrounding environment and to achieving electric power saving of an operation power required for the intermittent reception. SOLUTION: When radio communications are performed by transmitting/receiving an electric wave between a transmitter 1 and a receiver 2, and a receiving part 20 of the receiver intermittently receives a sensor detection signal S transmitted by the radio communication from a transmission part 13 of the transmitter upon a sensor detection, a control part 25 of the receiver sets a threshold referred upon a shift to a reception operation to a threshold level made higher by a predetermined value than a threshold of an electric field strength detected from the electric wave received by the receiving part, and not only can provide the threshold level with an upper limit but also can keep the threshold referred upon the shift to the reception operation when the sensor detection signal is received by the receiving part.
