PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a dispersion of an organometallic complex in which the organometallic complex having a small particle diameter is dispersed in high concentration. SOLUTION: The method for producing a dispersion comprises depositing an organometallic complex by the coordination of a metal with a dissolved ligand and dispersing the deposited organometallic complex in a dispersion medium together with a dispersant. The method for producing the dispersion includes a process for preparing a reaction solution A obtained by dissolving the ligand by using a polar solvent and an alkali, a process for preparing a reaction solution B obtained by dissolving a metal halide or a metal alkoxide into a polar solvent, and a process for depositing the organometallic complex by discharging the reaction solutions A and B to an open space so that their traveling directions cross each other and mixing the both solutions in the presence of the dispersant.
