The present invention relates to toe filter socks and a knitting method therefor. In particular, the invention relates to socks, wherein a thread to be knitted for use as a filter is backstitched to a toe insert region of a sock fabric, or the filter and the sock are knitted together as one piece by a knitter such that the filter is held between toes and is tightly adhered to the sock fabric by a fitter. A hole (opening) in the filter surface allows replacing any kind of substance in the interior space, thereby offering air circulation between toes to absorb/get rid of sweat from toes and prevent tinea pedis, and promoting health functions acting as an auxiliary therapy for treatment. While conventional antimicrobial or deodorizing socks containing nanoparticles have been found to cause contamination to the environment and ecological system, filter socks of the invention contribute to the protection of the environment and ecological system as their antimicrobial and deodorizing functions are accomplished by means of a filter and all kinds of substances, in absence of nanoparticles in the sock fabric.
