<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening/closing control system for a vehicle wherein a capacity for detecting an obstacle existing nearby the vehicle is improved. <P>SOLUTION: The opening/closing control system includes a driving part 4 for opening and closing an opening/closing body 11 which is opened and closed accompanied by swinging movement, an ultrasonic sensor 2 having the surface of the opening/closing body 11 in its detection range and arranged in the opening/closing body 11 for detecting an obstacle nearby a vehicle 1 based on reflected waves from the obstacles 5, 6 against an ultrasonic wave which is intermittently transmitted, and a control part for actuating the driving part 4 based on the detection result from the ultrasonic sensor 2 and opening and closing the opening/closing body 11. The control part, when controlling the opening of the opening/closing body 11, first opens the opening/closing body 11 as much as a predetermined initial opening amount, slows down the opening/closing body 11 for a predetermined idle period and then, opens the opening/closing body 11 after the elapse of an idle period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
