<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide frictional material and an electromagnetic clutch, efficiently dissipating frictional heat generated between a rotor and a friction counter-member frictionally engaged with the rotor. <P>SOLUTION: The frictional materials 25 are provided on the frictional surfaces 16a, 19a of the rotor 11 and an armature 12 as the frictional counter-member frictionally engaged with the rotor 11. The frictional materials 25 have electrostatic flocking intermittently provided along the rotational direction of the rotor 11 or the armature 12. When the rotor 11 or the armature 12 is rotated, a state in which one electrostatic flocking is brought into the other electrostatic flocking and a state in which one electrostatic flocking is brought into the other metal surface are alternately developed. When the electrostatic flocking is brought into the metal surface, the frictional heat generated between the rotor 11 and the armature 12 is efficiently dissipated through the metal surface having high thermal conductivity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
