PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To communicate a cartridge with a discharge head after surely opening the cartridge to outside when the cartridge is loaded. SOLUTION: The inkjet printer 3 includes: the ink cartridge 20A having an ink storage chamber 51, an ink outlet 64 for delivering the ink stored in the ink storage chamber 51, an air opening 52 for opening the ink storage chamber 51 to the outside, and an ink-outlet closing mechanism 71 and an air-opening closing mechanism 70 for separately closing the ink outlet 64 and the air opening 52; a cartridge loading part 19 to which the ink cartridge 20A is detachably loaded, having an ink inlet 42b to be connected to the ink outlet 64; and an inkjet head 35 to which the ink flowing in through the ink inlet 42b is supplied, and with nozzles for discharging the ink; and a damper means 75 for damping the loading force received when the ink cartridge 20A is loaded to the cartridge loading part 19.
