<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely and easily remove a web core without using a special large collecting device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fitting member of a driving side chuck part is released under with the chuck part fitted with each edge of the web core (step S1), an operation side chuck part is moved in the direction to be removed from the web core by movement of an operation side holding arm (step S2, S3, S4), the fitting member of the driving side chuck part is fitted with the web core (step S5), the fitting member of the operation side chuck part is released (step S6), and the driving side chuck part is moved in the direction to be removed from the web core by movement of a driving side holding arm (step S7, S8, S9).
