PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device exerting sufficient thrust even if a space where a permanent magnet can be arranged on an outer periphery side of a moving body equipped with a lens between the moving body and a supporting body, is narrowed. SOLUTION: In the lens driving device 1, the lens 121 is circular, and coils 30x and 30y are quadrangular regardless of the shape of the lens. The permanent magnet 17 is a plate type permanent magnet stuck to each of a plurality of inner surfaces equivalent to sides of a square barrel body part 184 of a yoke 18 whose inner peripheral surface is formed to be quadrangular in the supporting body 3. A facing area of the coils 30x and 30y and the permanent magnet 17 is increased thereby. Since a build-down part recessed inward is formed by through-holes 133a and 133b formed on a coil holder 13 on an outer periphery side surface of the moving body 3, the moving body 3 is made light in weight.
