BLOOD PRESSURE ESTIMATING DEVICE AND BLOOD PRESSURE ESTIMATING METHOD

A noninvasive blood pressure estimating device for accurately estimating the systolic pressure of a dialysis patient from the blood flow sounds and continuously estimating the systolic pressure while continuously sampling the blood flow sounds. A reference pulse curve of a reference pulse is drawn. The starting and ending points of the rise section of the reference pulse are made to correspond to the diastolic pressure and the systolic pressure, respectively. A blood flow sound power curve drawn according to the blood flow sounds from a shunt region is drawn along the same time axis as that of the reference pulse curve for comparison with the reference pulse curve. A correspondence curve of the correspondence between the blood flow sound power and the estimated blood pressure is drawn. A systolic pressure estimation linear function is derived from the correspondence curve. The maximum value of the measured blood flow sound power is substituted in the linear function to estimate the systolic blood pressure.
