Agglutination test for detecting antibodies in a sample liquid, preferably in plasma or serum sample, comprises incubating a test mixture comprising sample liquid, erythrocyte containing test reagent, reagents, which reduce the repulsion between erythrocytes, and antibody crosslinking substance, in a reaction vessel, where before and during the incubation, no separation step is carried out; and after incubation a visual image for optical analysis is collected in the reaction vessel, in which the sedimentation is occurred. Agglutination test for detecting antibodies in a sample liquid, preferably in plasma or serum sample, comprises incubating a test mixture comprising sample liquid, erythrocyte containing test reagent, reagents, which reduce the repulsion between erythrocytes, and antibody crosslinking substance, in a reaction vessel, where: before and during the incubation, no separation step is carried out; after incubation a visual image for optical analysis is collected in the reaction vessel, in which the sedimentation is occurred; the agglutination is concluded using the sedimentation image for existence or non-existence of antibody-antigen reaction; the incubation is carried out in a reaction vessel with funnel shaped bottom; the sample liquid is diluted in at least one step; the concentration of the sample fluid in the test mixture is 20-40% of the initial concentration; and the sedimentation image covers the inner area and an area surrounding the inner area, and images of existence or non-existence of possible agglutination are compared. An independent claim is included for a kit for the agglutination test comprising ready-to-use reagents for carrying out the agglutination test and possibly dilutes the sample liquid to be mixed, 0.5-1.5% (v/v) of erythrocytes in an isotonic buffer, and anti-human immunoglobulin (Ig)G at a concentration of 100-200 mg/l in low ionic strength solution (LISS)-medium or a supplement-medium, where the amount of ready-to-use reagents is selected in such a way that the correct dilution of the sample liquid is automatically determined.
|
