<p>Music composition data groups are multiplexed and recorded in a plurality of nonvolatile memory banks without being compressed. A data read-out unit reads out music composition data in parallel from the nonvolatile memory banks according to a read-out instruction from an access module. In a music composition generation system incapable of predicting which sound height of music composition data is to be read out, a plurality of data items can be read out in parallel from the nonvolatile memory banks. Accordingly, the sound production delay time may be within an allowance. This realizes a high-quality and small-size music composition generation system by using as a memory for music composition data, a large-capacity multi-value NAND flash memory which is currently a mainstream.</p> |
