<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake apparatus for vehicle including an assisted type liquid pressure acting chamber with the back face confronting a master piston, with which a backup piston can advance the master piston in order to make direct pressing when the liquid pressure in the acting chamber has dropped, capable of emitting certainly the braking liquid pressure from the master cylinder with a minor brake operation force when the liquid pressure in the assisted type liquid pressure acting chamber has dropped, being caused by a failure in a pressure governor valve, using a simple configuration with which increase in the number of component parts is avoided. <P>SOLUTION: An input side annular chamber 93 is formed between a casing and the backup piston 64A and connected with a liquid pressure generating source, and an annular sealing means to seal between this input side annular chamber 93 and the assisted type liquid pressure acting chamber 22 is interposed between the casing and the backup piston 64A, and a communication passage 216 to put the input side annular chamber 93 and the liquid pressure acting chamber 22 in communication with each other in accordance with the backup piston 64A making an advance for a prescribed stroke or more, is installed in either of the backup piston 64A and the casing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
