<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase reliability of a degree of arterial sclerosis obtained from a detected result of a pulse wave. <P>SOLUTION: Four cuffs 21R, 21L, 22R, 22L are wound around right and left upper arms and right and left ankles of a subject, respectively. A blood pressure/pulse wave measuring part 200 measures a pulse wave of the subject by using the cuffs 21R, 21L, 22R, 22L. An operation control part 10 detects characteristic parts of the measured pulse wave and derives a degree of arterial sclerosis of the subject from the detected characteristic parts. The part 200 controls cuff pressure of the respective cuffs 21R, 21L, 22R, 22L in a manner that the cuff 21L has cuff pressure higher than the other cuffs 21R, 22R, 22L in measuring the pulse wave of the subject. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
