<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce scale of a display driving circuit with a circuit for compensating variations in light emitting characteristics due to driving history of a transistor for driving light emitting. <P>SOLUTION: The display driving circuit is used as a voltage follower circuit when driving a data line DL by switching connection of an operational amplifier 46 in a data line driving part 40 and is used as a voltage comparator when measuring threshold voltage of the transistor 3 for driving in a light emitting driving circuit DC through the data line DL. Consequently, a DAC 44 for generating compensation voltage V corresponding to voltage for detection for measuring threshold voltage and display data can be used as part of ADC (analog-digital converter) by combining it with the operational amplifier 46 for converting count values CNT of a counter 41 into analog voltages sequentially and comparing them with voltage of the data line DL.
