<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion state detector for an internal combustion engine, capable of calculating the oscillation strength in sensory frequency band in a short time period. <P>SOLUTION: The combustion state detector for an internal combustion engine comprises an operation condition detection means for detecting the operation state of the internal combustion engine, a characteristic map for defining the relationship between a correlative high frequency band and the operation state of the internal combustion engine, a correlative high frequency band selecting means for selecting the correlative high frequency band corresponding to the sensed operation state according to the characteristic map, an output torque obtaining means for obtaining the output torque of the internal combustion engine, a correlative high frequency band filter for allowing passage of a component corresponding to the correlative high frequency band included in the output torque as a correlative component, and a correlation strength calculating means for calculating the oscillation strength of the correlative component as the correlation strength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
