PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the contact of a first optical member of an optical unit for a probe, with a biotissue and improve the product reliability and workability. SOLUTION: A confocal objective lens unit 21 to be mounted to the distal end of a confocal laser probe is provided with a first lens 26 facing an observation object site of a subject, a second lens 27, a lens fixing frame 28, and a lens barrel 29. The first lens 26 is formed with a tapered face 32d on the peripheral side edge of the lens face 32a on the objective side. When the first lens 26 is fixed to the lens fixing frame 28, at least one portion of the tapered face 32d protrudes from an end surface 29b of the lens barrel 29. The tapered face 32d protruding from the end surface 29b is coated with adhesive agent when the first lens 26 is fixed to the lens fixing frame 28. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
