PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which can always obtain a high quality output by relaxing the density change and the density non-uniformity of pigment ink in a recording head or an ink tank. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device for recording by discharging pigment ink from a recording head for discharging the pigment ink while the recording head is being moved to a medium to be recorded provides a measuring means for measuring the time elapsed from the end of the recording operation at the previous time in response to the signal showing the start of the recording operation, a setting means for enabling to set the number of times of the movement of the recording head to conduct to stir the pigment ink in the recording head when the time elapsed measured by the measuring means exceeds first predetermined time, and a stirring mean for stirring the pigment ink by moving the recording head according to the number of times set by the setting means. When the time elapsed exceeds a second setting time longer than the first predetermined time, the number of times set by the setting means is more than that of the case that the time elapsed does not exceed the second predetermined time.
