<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair-dressing composition having lightly expanding and spreading properties, a fresh feeling of use and a high setting power, together with an excellent effect on volume-up of hair. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hair-dressing composition includes the following components (A)-(C): (A) easily collapsible granulated silica particles having an average particle diameter of 1-50 μm and formed with scale-like silica having a primary particle thickness of 0.001-0.1 μm as a constituent unit; (B) a carboxyvinyl polymer and/or an alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer; and (C) water.
