<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To desulfurize an extracted gas from which chlorine is removed without increasing energy consumption. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This cement production equipment is provided with: a rotary kiln 11 for producing clinker by firing a cement raw material; a clinker cooler 12 connected to the rotary kiln 11; and a chlorine by-path system 21 for extracting a portion of the gas at the kiln bottom of the rotary kiln 11 and removing chlorine. Further, the cement production equipment is provided with: an extracted gas-introducing pipe 36 for introducing the extracted gas from which chlorine is removed by the chlorine by-path system 21 to an upper end of the clinker cooler 12 in such a manner that the extracted gas is blown to the inside of the clinker layer of the clinker cooler 12, wherein the extracted gas blown to the inside of the clinker layer is supplied to the kiln 11 as burning air; and a front wall 12a for guiding clinker falling from the end part of the rotary kiln 11 on the burner side to the upstream side of the clinker cooler 12. The extracted gas-introducing pipe 36 is provided in such a manner that it penetrates the front wall 12a and its opening end faces to the inside of the clinker layer.
