<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner in which the driving state of the optical scanner is stably detected, even with a sensor having a temperature dependence. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The optical scanner 10 comprises an optical scanner part 1 which is turnably configured and a driving part 4 for turningly driving the optical scanner part 1; and scans an object with light reflected by the optical scanner part 1 by turning the optical scanner part 1. The optical scanner further includes: a driving detection part 5, which detects the driving state of the optical scanner part 1; a temperature measurement part 8, which measures the ambient temperature of the optical scanner part 1; a radiation quantity providing part 9, which outputs the radiation quantity of light radiated to the optical scanner part 1; a detected result correcting part 7, which corrects the detected result of the driving detection part 5, on the basis of the measured ambient temperature and the radiation quantity of the light; and a driving control part 6, which controls the driving part 4 so as to torsionally deform the optical scanner part 1 at the self resonance frequency, on the basis of the detected result after being corrected of the driving detection part 5.
