<p>The glazing rebate insert (1) has a rectangular base body (3), flanges (19) and ribs (20). The ribs form components of wedge-shaped clamping pieces (9), which are position-oriented in recesses (8) aligned at the contour of the clamping piece and expand into the narrow side of the base body. The inner ends (10) of the clamping piece are distant to the inner ends of the recesses. The flange is provided at the end side of the longitudinal sides (4) of the base body.</p>
