The thread cutting tool (1) has a shaft (2) and a cutting section (3) comprising several groups of axially parallel or spirally disposed teeth (5). At least a part of the cutting teeth has a radial under cut section (7) on the free surfaces (11) behind each cutting edge (8). The undercut section starts at a distance behind the cutting edge which is preferably between 10 and 30 % of the tooth length measured in the circumferential direction. |
