<p>PURPOSE: A cyclic olefin addition polymer and a preparing method thereof are provided to exhibit high solubility in organic solvent and polysiloxane solvent, and preserving stability and handling. CONSTITUTION: A cyclic olefin addition polymer is obtained by addition-polymerizing cyclic olefin functional siloxane. The cyclic olefin functional siloxane is represented by formula 1. In formula 1, R1 is a univalent organic group without aliphatic unsaturated bonds therein; s is an integer between 0 and 2; and j is 0 or 1. The cyclic olefin addition polymer is molded into a thin layer, sheet or film.</p> |
