The equipment comprises a crane (2) mounted on the vehicle, a steel support frame (4), a clean-water tank (5), a boiler (6), a pump (7), a cleaning area (9) equipped with sprayers (10) with at least one rotating head (11) on a proportional-slope pantograph (12), at least one suction/compression tank (13) for collecting the waste wash water, at least one tank (14) for greywater, at least one winder (15, 16, 17, 18) and supplementary tanks (20) for operating the machinery. The containers are coupled to the crane and are lifted to the sealed washing area where they are aligned and then inserted and locked inside the cleaning area. The containers are covered using an expansion element the height of which is controlled by a photoelectric cell. A series of sprayers located inside the expansion element start the prewashing of the container exterior and the doors. Inside the washing area is a rotating washing head with four sprayers inclined and positioned on a pantograph equipped with a hydraulic motor for rotation. Clean water is pumped from the boilers into the hydraulic circuit which alternates the washing phases with heated water. Disinfection uses the same process except that detergent is pumped into the water circuit controlled by a programmable logic controller. The waste wash water is collected from the bottom of the washing tank by suction using a vacuum pump and is then poured into the wastewater collection tank and purified with pre-filtering of some of the water for reuse in the prewashing of the containers and tanks. While the containers are cleaned the operator can clean and disinfect the underground tanks using a water hose by means of programmable cleaning with products. At the end of the cleaning process the waste wash water is collected and then the pantograph is lowered. Finally the containers are withdrawn from the washing area, repositioned inside the underground tanks and uncoupled. An independent claim is included for the method employed by the equipment.
