<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-checkout system for facilitating payment processing without burdening a merchandise purchaser by eliminating the need of attaching merchandise information to individual merchandise. <P>SOLUTION: The self checkout system 100 includes: a shopping basket 10 provided with an RFID 1 for storing merchandise purchase information; a price-per-weight data part 21 provided with price information of a merchandise weight unit; a reading part 22 for reading the purchase information of the RFID when purchasing the merchandise; a measuring part 23 for measuring the weight of the shopping basket by putting new merchandise to be purchased in the shopping basket; a calculating part 24 for calculating price information from the measured weight of the merchandise and the price information of a weight unit; a read/write part 20 provided with a write part 15 for writing price information of merchandise to be purchased in the RFID; and a register part 30 having a read part 31 for reading the purchase information of the RFID and a payment display part 32 for displaying the read purchase information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
