<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain shift change feeling constantly while correcting errors between an instruction hydraulic pressure provided for a control formula and an actual hydraulic pressure which really exists, with a less calculation amount than a feedback control. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Instruction hydraulic pressures P<SB>db</SB>of respective phases except for a last phase and the actual hydraulic pressure P<SB>at</SB>as output from a fed hydraulic pressure sensor 8 are compared. When an excessive response state is detected, a corrected instruction hydraulic pressure P<SB>db</SB>of a next phase is set as addition of an instruction hydraulic pressure P<SB>db</SB>before correction and a correction hydraulic pressure Paj and a control is conducted by a control formula of the next phase corresponding to the correction hydraulic pressure P<SB>aj</SB>which is the difference between the instruction hydraulic pressure P<SB>db</SB>generated in the phase and the actual hydraulic pressure P<SB>at</SB>. When a response delay state is detected, control of the next phase is started, an inflection point a of the actual hydraulic pressure P<SB>at</SB>is detected and a control is conducted by a control formula of the next phase, a corrected instruction hydraulic pressure P<SB>db</SB>of the next phase is set as the difference between the instruction hydraulic pressure P<SB>db</SB>before correction and the correction hydraulic pressure P<SB>aj</SB>corresponding to the correction hydraulic pressure of difference of the instruction hydraulic pressure P<SB>db</SB>of the phase and the actual hydraulic pressure at the inflection point a.
