PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device for recognizing which mesh region updatable mesh data is. SOLUTION: The navigation device displays a map 30 on a display monitor 16 after searching recommended routes. The map 30 is divided in the form of a lattice, and one divided region corresponds to a mesh region. In addition, the recommended route 31 is displayed on the map 30. The map 30 is displayed so that a background color of the map 30 in the mesh regions 32g-32j in which mesh data is updated in the mesh regions 32a-32o in which the recommended route 31 passes is different from the background color of the other part. When any one of the mesh regions 32g-32j different in the background color is pressed, the mesh data corresponding to the mesh regions 32g-32j are updated to use the map data of updated mesh data so as to search the recommended route again.
