<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a light-emitting element with a finely film-formed organic layer. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The organic layer is formed with the use of surfactant-containing coating liquid containing polyethylene dioxythiophene, polystyrene sulfonate and a surfactant. The organic layer is a hole transport layer. The organic layer is formed by coating the surfactant-containing coating liquid in the spin coat method.
