<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder which can make the temperature of a surface of the side that supports a target on a transport belt a desired temperature distribution in transporting the target by the transport belt, and to provide a target transport device and a target transport method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A transport unit 13 includes the transport belt 26 which transports a cut paper 12 from an upstream side to a downstream side, a platen 21 which supports the cut paper 12 transported by the transport belt 26 over the transport belt 26, and a plurality of heaters 29 which heat the platen 21. Each heater 29 is disposed to make the temperature of the supporting surface 21a of the platen 21 lower as it is the lower stream side in a transport direction of the cut paper 12.
