<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content distribution device capable of easily acquiring a content satisfying desired conditions. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of conditions included in retrieval instructions from external equipment are divided into conditions which are achievable according to content conversion by a conversion means and a condition other than the achievable conditions, and the retrieval of a pertinent content is performed separately from a retrieval instruction from the external equipment according to a condition other than the achievable conditions, and the retrieved content is presented. Also, when the distribution request of a content presented according to the retrieval following a condition other than the achievable conditions is made, the pertinent content is converted according to the achievable conditions, and the converted content is distributed.
