<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper supplying apparatus which excels in the operability and visibility of paper in jamming processing. <P>SOLUTION: An exterior cover 92 and a transporting unit 93 are supported by the same supporting point 94 to be rotatable and when the exterior cover 92 is rotated upward by grasping a first handle 96, the transporting unit 93 connected to the exterior cover 92 by the engagement of a lock member 98 and a projection for restraining 99 is rotated upwardly together with the exterior cover 92. On the other hand, when the exterior cover 92 is rotated upwardly by grasping a second handle 97, a supporting shaft 92a and the locking member 98 which is fixed to the supporting shaft 92a are rotated by the rotation of the second handle 97 and the engagement of a hook 98a and the projection 99 for restraining is released.
