PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device for a field-emission type lamp which driving device eliminates loss by a component to improve voltage conversion efficiency and simplifies an overall circuit configuration to compactify the circuit configuration and reduce costs. SOLUTION: The driving device 1 for the field-emission lamp L includes a driving circuit 2 which outputs switching signals Sa and Sb, a switching circuit 3 which turns on and off switching elements Qa and Qb through the switching signals Sa and Sb to switch a dc input voltage Vi, a voltage-raising transformer 4 which steps up the switched input voltage Vi, and a rectifying circuit 5 which rectifies an output voltage Vmo from the voltage-raising transformer 4 to output dc output voltages Va and Vg. The driving device 1 also includes a resonation circuit 6 which utilizes the voltage-raising transformer 4 and its suspended capacitance Cs, and the driving circuit 2 having a function of matching on and off timings ts and tr of the switching signals Sa and Sb to a resonation condition for the resonation circuit 6.
